Fixing a corrupted Spotlight index on Mac OS X

leave a comment »

Sometimes I notice that not all the emails in my Apple Mail application is found using Spotlight search. This usually means the index is corrupt.

Here are some nice articles about this:

Deploying a Rails 3 application to Heroku

leave a comment »

When you have a Rails 3 application developed – then it is useful to deploy it to Heroku.

Sign up at Heroku – I followed the steps described in the Rails Tutorial.

Here is my summary:

$ [sudo] gem install heroku
$ heroku keys:add
$ heroku create
$ git push heroku master

There are also more commands to use if you have data in a database which needs to be accessed.
